Initial Advocacy Success - PDD Funding Improves but Problems Remain



Thanks to everyone whose combined efforts led to a halt in the 4th quarter cuts PDD was ordered to implement by the Ministry of Seniors and Community Supports. As a result of our united advocacy PDD's budget for the forthcoming year is much better than expected. However, the budget is still less than needed and PDD will have to reduce spending over the next year.

2010 Annual Family Conference

Each year, hundreds of families from across Alberta attend AACL’s annual Family Conference. This conference is well recognized for its ability to inspire families and promote innovative approaches for creating inclusive communities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

AACL would like to invite staff, professionals, administrators, and others working in the field of development disabilities and related fields, as well as teachers, educators, and teacher aides to attend our full-day workshops on Friday, March 19.
