NorthEast Community Online

On-line information and communication technology are important enabling technologies ("electronic curb-cuts") for people with disabilities, increasing their ability to participate in an increasingly knowledge-based society. However, although significant inroads have been made into the use of technology and Internet accessibility for certain types of disabilities (e.g., visual impairment), little attention has been paid to Internet accessibility for those with developmental disabilities. NorthEast Community Online is designed to address this area.
